The Cayman Islands Tourism Association and its members gathered together the who's who of the tourism
industry last night for its 11th annual Cayman Stingray Tourism Awards.
The prestigious event, held at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort
and Spa, paid tribute to those members of the hospitality field whose hard
work and dedication have helped to shape and maintain the island's most
lucrative industry. Thusly, it is with great pride that we announce Doug
Anderson, manager of our Catamaran Department, as recipient of the 2014 Cayman
Stingray Tourism Award Waterports Manager of the Year. Doug has been with Red Sail Sports for several years now, and under his
careful guidance the catamaran team has continued to grow and excel as Red
Sail's most lucrative and decorated department.
Rod McDowall,
Operations Manager of Red Sail Sports, praised Doug and all the award
winners this year. "With over 50 worthy recipients nominated it can be
difficult to isolate a few individuals, but I do feel there was one individual
in each category who clearly displayed they were well-deserving of the renowned
Cayman Stingray Tourism Award and I congratulate each one of them for their
commendable efforts within our industry," he said. We here at Red Sail
Sports would like to congratulate Doug on this recognition of his hard work,
and for being a great ambassador not just of Red Sail, but Cayman tourism
on the whole. Fantastic work Doug!
